Tour details

Verona through the centuries is a journey of over two thousand years in the history of the city, accompanied by a private guide.

The walking tour includes a visit to the outside of theArena of Verona. If you also want to explore the inside with the guide, just let us know at the beginning of the visit. This ancient Roman amphitheater, one of the largest and best preserved in the world, is today a famous stage for opera, thanks to the famous festival it hosts every year.

From the Arena, the tour continues through Piazza Bra and the historic center, up to the courtyard of Juliet's House. From there, you reach Romeo's House, which can only be visited from the outside as today it is a private residence.

The next stop is Piazza delle Erbe, a real gem not to be missed. Once a Roman forum and the beating heart of the ancient city, today the square retains its medieval charm with its frescoed Mazzanti houses from the 16th century and the picturesque market. The square is dominated by the majestic Lamberti Tower, flanked by the Gardello Tower and the Prison Tower. The column with the winged lion of San Marco celebrates the four centuries of peace under Venetian rule.

The tour continues towards the elegant Piazza dei Signori, surrounded by the private residences of the Scala family, authentic masterpieces of Venetian architecture. This district contains the Scaligeri palaces, the private chapel, the church of Santa Maria Antica and the family cemetery with the splendid Arche Scaligere.

Continuing on, you'll discover the charming Cortile Mercato Vecchio and some Roman remains, precious testimonies of antiquity.

The visit ends with a pleasant walk along the Adige, perfect for admiring Verona from a unique and evocative perspective.
